Scarlett Land and Development Ltd is based in Edinburgh and offers consultancy advice in relation to the acquisition and sale of land and development assets across Scotland.

Extensive knowledge and experience of the Scottish development market and a wide contact base is used to advise clients appraising property assets in the region. The firm has a bias towards the residential development market, as Will was Director of the Land & Development team at Rettie & Co. for 15 years (2002-2017).

Will is a proven deal maker with a reputation for sourcing high quality, off-market transactions as well as promoting objective, well informed and discreet advice on new and existing situations.

Will Scarlett

Prior to commencing Scarlett Land and Development Ltd Will ran the Land & Development team at Rettie & Co. for 15 years.

Previously, Will worked at Kilmartin Property Group having spent 8 years as a Shipbroker in London and Singapore for Clarkson PLC. Will graduated from Bristol University and holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School.

Michael Hodgson

Michael joined Scarlett Land and Development in August 2019 to bolster our expertise and capacity in residential investment, Build-to-Rent and residential development sectors.

Prior to this Michael was Associate Director at Strutt and Parker in Edinburgh for 4 years, specialising in Residential, New Build homes and Development. In a personal capacity Michael has developed several properties Edinburgh.

He has an MSc Real Estate from University College Estate Management (University of Reading), an MSc Management from University of Edinburgh and a BA History of Art from University of Leeds.

Annie Hulme

Annie worked alongside Will for over 10 years at Rettie & Co. as team administrator and indispensable assistant and as such has detailed knowledge on processes and people, as well as valuable experience in terms of working with land and development clients.  She joins the company as Office Manager.

Previously Annie spent eight years working for the Faculty of Advocates.
